  FAQs

To help with any queries you may have we have put together a list of the most common questions that we get asked.

  • Will I act like a chicken when I am hypnotised or hear a trigger word afterwards?

The short answer is ‘no’. That would be referring to ‘stage hypnosis’, and trigger words are not involved in RTT. At all times you are aware of your surroundings and can come out of hypnosis on your own. Hypnosis is a sleep of the nervous system, a deep state of relaxation, in which you can

    access your subconscious memories.

  • If I struggle to relax and release control, will hypnosis work for me?

I am happy to provide a personalised pre-recording for you to listen to for 7 days prior to your first session so that you know what to expect and experience what hypnosis is like in the comfort of your own home. Please ask about this on the Discovery Call if this is something you feel you need.

  • Will I be aware of the scenes that I have experienced in a session? What happens if they are unexpected or traumatic in nature?

You will be fully aware of the scenes (i.e. pertinent memories that have formed your beliefs) you have accessed. Some are surprising, some are unknown, some are from early childhood. I will do my best to support you to reflect on the scenes but you may need further help from another

professional, or to talk about the scene(s) with a close loved one.

  • Why does it only take 21 days to work?

Not all difficulties can be resolved in 21 days, and RTT is not a ‘cure’; However, it can improve your life if you listen to the recording every day for this length of time. New habits are formed across this timeframe, and this includes new schemas and beliefs.
